Speaker from Life+ ChildProtect to Östersund

We are happy to present

Chantal Van den Bossche as a speaker at our seminar in Östersund 27-28 September

Chantal was the project manager of the Life+ project ChildProtect and will speak about how to create awareness among consumers on EDCs, Endocrine Disrupting Chemicals.

Chantal van den Bossche (1967) is WECF’s communications manager. She studied Eastern European Studies and Sociology at the University of Amsterdam and Russian at Herzen University in Leningrad. During her studies, she ran a half year internship for the NOS and BRT journal in Moscow. Chantal also has a degree in Journalism and as a Senior Communications Adviser.
After finishing her studies she recorded, together with former MEP Thijs Berman, a four-part series for Dutch radio on changing life in Leningrad / St. Petersburg. In the following years, Chantal worked as an editor, reporter and editor for daily TV and radioshows such as Koffietijd!, Ontbijt TV (Breakfast TV), Plein Publiek and Theater van het Sentiment.

For Chantal politics became personal and led to a deep commitment to WECF’s Project Nesting; providing the means for creating a healthy environment for pregnant women and small children. The fact that her son of only four years old was diagnosed with childhood cancer (Burkitt lymfoma) and survived has left a heavy imprint on her life and on her motives.
